iOS/Android/BlackBerry/WP7/Web: Free personal finance web service Pageonce already allows you to keep tabs on your bank accounts, investments, bills, and other expenses from your mobile phone. Today the service announced an update that allows you to pay almost any bill right from your mobile phone, anywhere you have a data connection.
Pageonce now allows you to add your regular bills and expenses, their due dates, amount due, and who you have to pay, and the service will notify you when a bill is due. From there, you can open your Pageonce account on your smartphone, select how you'd like to pay, how much to pay, and then submit your payment. Pageonce will email you the receipt to confirm your bill has been paid, and a confirmation code that the money has been applied against your bill.
As with most bill payment services, Pageonce is only as good as the number of banks and companies that allow you to pay your bills through their service. When we tested the service, most major banks, large credit card issuers, and regional utility companies were all supported. Some smaller utilities, subscription services, property management and rental companies, and game companies weren't however, so your mileage may vary depending on who you owe. The service is free, so it's easy to sign up and see if Pageonce's payment features will work for you.
Even so, Pageonce makes it remarkably easy to be alerted when a bill is due and pay it, no matter where you are. If you're not the type to trust automatic bill payments or just want more control over when your money comes out of your account, Pageonce now offers the flexibility to pay when you choose without being late.
